Girly Bits - What Really Happened In Vegas Collection

Press Sample

Hey guys, today I have the What Really Happened in Vegas Collection from Girly Bits for you.  I want to start off by talking a little bit about Girly Bits customer service.  When I originally checked my order I thought it was correct because the order was for 9 polishes and I received 9 because Pam sent me Accidental PPV as an addon to review. I didn't realize until later I was missing Selfie Bomb.  When I brought it to their attention they let me know it was being sent right out and I got it a few days later.

I know that sometimes things happen and there can be a mistake with the order.  I'm the type of person that cares more about how the problem is resolved, then there being a problem in the first place.  In my opinion Girly Bits customer service is fabulous and I'll be ordering again.  Not only are the polishes beautiful, but they really care about their customers too.  That said, on to the polish.  All polishes are with one coat of HK Girl topcoat.  All of these polishes have glitter or microglitter, so prepare for the foil method of removal or consider using a peel off basecoat.  The descriptions in italics are directly from the maker.

Accidental Pay Per View is a silver holographic polish, accented with glowy blue shimmer and a subtle turquoise flash.

This is three coats of Accidental PPV.  I had a wee bit of patchiness on the first and second coats, but the third coat smoothed everything out nicely.  I had a very hard time photographing this one for you, and I'm still not very pleased with the photos.  The photo with the bottle shows the polish as a bit darker than in real life.  The macro shot colour is more accurate.  The blue shimmer and turquoise flash are very evident on the nail, but in my photos they're mostly hidden.  It dries with a slight texture.  I am very glad that Pam included this one for me as it's really more than just a plain silver holo, unfortunately I couldn't capture it how I saw it.  You'll just have to order one and see for yourself *wink!*

Girly Bits - Selfie Bomb
Selfie Bomb is a sparkly gold holo micro glitter shimmer combination accented with pink and lavender microglitter.

This is three thin coats of Selfie Bomb.  Great formula on this one.  It went on so nicely without any dragging or patchiness whatsoever.  Depending on your preference for visible nail line and how thick you apply your coats you might get away with two coats.  Immediately I was entranced by the sparkles and it is without a doubt the loveliest gold polish I've seen.  This one dries more textured like a glitter, but one coat of topcoat is enough to make it mostly smooth.  I love how this one twinkles.

Girly Bits - Too Hot For Pants
Too Hot For Pants is a glowy fuchsia-red jelly, loaded with red and fuchsia shimmer and holo micro glitter. Lit from within! Just like us while in Vegas.

This is two coats of Too Hot For Pants.  Helloooooo beautiful!  Again, flawless formula.  It went on so beautifully that it almost could have been a one coater, but with two it's a knockout.  The jelly base really lets all the shimmers pop.  Every time I move my fingers I can see the red shimmers catch the light.  Originally I thought it would dry a lot more textured, but it's only very finely textured when dry.  For me I found topcoat really amped up the shimmer flash.

Protect Your Girly Bits is a purple scattered holographic polish, accented with flashes of red micro glitter.

This is two coats of Protect Your Girly Bits.  Another perfect formula polish.  This one was slightly thicker than the others, but it didn't impede application at all.  While it's noted as a scattered holographic polish this one does have an evident linear rainbow along with the fun red shimmers that that make it more than just another holo.  It dries only slightly textured.

Overall, this is such a gorgeous collection of polishes, and the best part is their names come from some really fun inspiration from Pam's Vegas visit.  You can read all about the inspiration by checking out the polishes on the site, or you can read the press release here.  If I absolutely had to choose a favourite, it would be Too Hot For Pants, with Protect Your Girly Bits a close second.  Let me know which one is your favourite in the comments below.
